QueensLink Jane’s Walk May 3rd

We are excited to announce sign-ups have begun for this year’s Municipal Art Society Jane’s Walk.

During this walk, we’ll explore the 3.5 mile QueensLink corridor and talk about our vision for each section. Participants should wear comfortable shoes, bring lots of water, and be prepared for a fun day of urban hiking! We hope this walk will demonstrate the importance of better access for Queens neighborhoods, as well as what we can accomplish with a little bit of creativity, and a lot of community support.

Accessibility

Unfortunately, this route is largely inaccessible for wheelchairs. There are multiple stairs and trails through Forest Park that we will traverse. You can reach the starting location via the A train at Rockaway Blvd, which is unfortunately not an accessible station yet but will be getting elevators soon. Please check https://www.mta.info/elevator-escalator-status to verify if the elevators will be open by the walk date. From the endpoint, participants can take the nearby J train or Q11, Q37, Q55, Q56, Q52 SBS, and Q53 SBS buses.
